The first in a new series by Milly Taiden. Kira is just waiting for her 40th birthday so she can get her company back from her crazy brother. When her father died he decided she either had to be married or her brother would run her company, leaving Kira to clean up after her brother and hoping he wouldn't run her company into the ground before the day she could take over.

When her brother pushes Kira to go to check out a mountain property he wants to purchase and build cabins on, Kira is curious as to why he is so anxious to get his hands on the property. Driving out when a snow storm is about to hit probably was her first problem, having car trouble and breaking down on the background is the second and it can't get much worse when she feels herself being followed when she goes to search out help and suddenly hears a loud growl.

Lion shifter Luke finds Kira on his property passed out. It isn't long before he realizes that this human is his mate, he just has to convince her, which won't be easy because, besides the fact that she's the most stubborn woman, Luke has met, but there are some strange happenings around his home.

This was a fun read, but was over too quick. This is just a series of short novellas. If you like sexy shifter books, then you'll like this one.

This is the second installment in the Raging Falls series. I didn't like it as much as the first because I was quickly becoming frustrated with the Carly. I am hoping there will be a next installment with Toni and Garret. That one should be a hoot.

Reader Note: I hope you’re ready for more panty-dropping sexiness. There’s hot, sweaty, naughty sex, adult language, lots of violence and blood, a BBW heroine with an attitude and a roaring bear ready to claim his girl. If this is not the kind of stuff you like to read, skip this book. However, if you’re a fan of all things naughty and humor, this is perfect for you. Enjoy!

Well written contemporary romance featuring wonderfully developed characters right down to the children who are wrestling with real life issues. This book just goes to show that erotic romance doesn't have to be all about sex but can bring together a host of other emotions and offer a good drama in the process.
