Romance Book Review: Tracey Jane Jackson's Bound By Fire

Author: Tracey Jane Jackson
Series Connection: Cauld Ane Series
ISBN: 978-1481962285
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Contemporary Romance, Suspense Romance
Publisher: Jackson

Pepper is really in trouble. She's been getting little notes and people around her are getting hurt every time she doesn't do what her stalker tells her to do. She hasn't wanted to worry her best friend Sam what is going on, but she knows Sam's not fooled.

She finally goes to Sam's brother for help, but he gets shot in the process and now she feels truly trapped.

Getting ready for Sam's wedding Pepper meets Sam's fiance's family, including big and strong Connall. Her immediate connection to Connall is a little frightening at first, but as she gets to know the man, she realizes he's not a threat to her.

Connall knows he needs to take it slow with Pepper. It isn't helping that she has a stalker and that Pepper and Sam's brother seem a little close, but he knows he can protect her. After the threat to her is gone, he'll have to then tell her his own mysterious story and hope he doesn't lose her.

This book steps back a few weeks before the first book, Bound By Blood, left off. In the beginning the back story is needed to remind readers and also give the perspective from Pepper's point of view, although sometimes it does get a little weird, especially if you read both books right after the other.

However, I am really impressed with the world that Tracey Jane Jackson has built in this book and hope that there will be more to the series. The main characters are great and the side characters only add to the story instead of distract.

Description:

Romance Book Review: Tracey Jane Jackson's Bound By Blood

Author: Tracey Jane Jackson
Series Connection: Claud Ane
ISBN: 978-1479126750
Genre: Paranormal, Contemporary Romance
Publisher: Jackson

Sam is a blood genetics research genius. She is called to a job in Scotland at a very posh pharmaceutical  company. Ready to make a change in her life she moves to another country with the hope of adventure. On the plane she meets an American named Cole who is going to Scotland on a lecture tour. But he isn't the most interesting man she meets there. Her boss Dr. Kade Gunnach, owner of the company isn't too bad himself. But he's her boss and she has a strict rule about mixing business with pleasure.

Kade wants her to change that rule. He has a secret. He knows that Sam is his, he just has to convince her of that and maybe tell her a few more of her family secrets.

There is a lot of intrigue and romance going on in the rated G in the sex department book. I really love the way the author has woven the characters together in this store. Kade is a sexy, strong willed head of his clan and while Sam might be the shy type, she doesn't back down where Kade is concerned. That makes for a strong relationship in the world.

Description:
Dr. Samantha Moore is one of the youngest and most acclaimed researchers in the world. Her specialty is blood and she has been recruited by the largest pharmaceutical company in Scotland. For what purpose she cannot begin to imagine, but in an attempt to break out of her painfully shy shell, she throws caution to the wind and leaves her family and best friend behind in Savannah.

Dr. Kade Gunnach is taking a chance hiring an outsider, but he’s desperate to find out how to help his sister. He believes the key lies in her blood, but so far, no one has found the answers. When the new researcher walks into his office, he’s unprepared for his reaction to her and the life-changing ramifications her arrival brings.

They’re drawn together by a force neither is prepared for, but Kade is holding something back. Something that could scare her away.

When Samantha learns his secret, will she run?

Will Kade be able to live with the answers he’s been desperately searching for?
