I was pleasantly surprised after I picked out Stormy Glenn's Pretty Baby this past week. I've read several of Stormy's books and series, but I hadn't picked up this particular series before and now I feel I've missed out.  

Pretty Baby has a really good plot with an excellent background story. Not that this isn't something that I haven't seen with Stormy's work before, but the storyline seems more drawn out and doesn't revolve around the sex between the two lead characters but more the events going on around their relationship. That turned out to be a good thing in this case. Not that I don't love a good erotic book, I just like it to be more balanced and Stormy Glenn does that in Pretty Baby.

In Pretty Baby, werewolf Tommy, meets his mate in a bar. Only to get him home and become interrupted by his family before he can fully claim his mate, Elliot. To make matters worse the two mates a further kept from mating when Elliot, who never knew he was a werewolf turns into one out of the blue and then doesn't change back into his human form for a little while.

Before Tommy and Elliot know it they are wrapped up in a drama that not only includes both of their families but secrets are revealed and the werewolves have to work to stop a madman from finding out how to create a genetic werewolf.

When he meets a sexy at a bar, he decides for once in his life he's going to live by his rules, and that includes going home with Tommy Nash. What Tommy doesn't realize until it's too late is that Elliot is a wolf shifter like him, and Elliot doesn't know it. By the time Tommy is able to get Elliot calmed down, it's too late. He's attacked someone and Tommy's family doesn't want him to become involved with Elliot.

Together, they have to fight his family, Elliot's family, and a few people in between that believe they shouldn't be together. Tommy's biggest obstacle is proving to Elliot that they belong together and by the time he does, it may be too late. Someone is after Elliot and Tommy doesn't know if he can save his mate, even with his pack's help.

The third in Stormy Glenn's Tri-Omega Series continues when Thomas heads out for a little vacation to get away from the ranch for a while. While on his trip he mets his mate, Micah. Thinking he has his mate all to himself Thomas quickly learns that he is going to have to share his mate with an alpha from another pack.

Description:
After watching his alpha and beta almost lose their mate, Thomas decides he needs some time alone. Driving across country, he discovers Micah, a human that smells like dark chocolate and summer rain. He knows immediately that Micah is his mate but before he can claim him, he has to get Micah's sexy little butt out of trouble.

They are attacked by a band of bullies. In his bid to protect his mate, Thomas reveals his true nature to the bullies and to Micah. Afterwards, he has to call in reinforcements to help clean up the mess. It comes in the form of Caleb Hunter, alpha of the Hunter Pack and Micah's other mate.

But Micah's human. Isn't he?

Forbidden Desires

Forbidden Desires tells the story of Ryland and Gregory. Since he was a teenager Ryland has known the Gregory was his mate, but Gregory wouldn't do anything about it until Ryland was older. Now that he is older, Ryland thinks that he is ready to be Gregory's mate. Ryland isn't a normal omega. As a tri-omega he has to find his other mate or risk death. While on vacation they find Viktor. When Viktor realizes that he is the second mate to Ryland, he doesn't quite know how to deal with the fact that he is suppose to share a mate.

Both of the Tri-Omega stories are imaginative and interesting, but they were just a little too closely written and although they were dealing with two different sets of characters they pretty much read the same. Not bad stories, but I would have liked to see a more independence in the story line.

Description:
Ryland has loved Gregory for six years, ever since Gregory rescued him from the brink of death. He has also known since then that Gregory is his mate. He's been old enough for a couple of years now, he just can't understand why Gregory won't claim him.

Gregory knew the moment he saw Ryland six years ago that they were mates. Ryland just wasn't old enough to be claimed. So Gregory bided his time, waiting for Ryland to grow up. But as his desire for Ryland builds, he wonders how much longer he can wait.

Gregory finally claims Ryland, only to learn that by doing so, he has endangered Ryland. Ryland is a tri-omega and needs two mates to keep him grounded and safe. But he hasn't met his other mate yet, which could be a problem. It could mean Ryland's life if they don't find him.

Romance Book Review: A Promise Kept

For years Mason has been in love with Jack, but he thought that Jack was straight so he never did anything about it. After 10 years Mason thinks its time to get on with his life and forget about any fantasies he might have about Jack. Mason decides to finish up his schooling across the country and leave town.

Jack never realized that Mason didn't know he was gay. He has been attracted to Mason for years, but promised his best friend, Mason's brother Randy, that he would not do anything about his attraction. When Mason tells Jack he's gay, Jack is shocked and realizes he never really knew anything about the younger man. After hearing the news Jack goes out and gets drunk and has the bartender call Mason to come and get him. The two men spend the night together, but when Jack wakes up he can't remember anything except his promise to Randy and says some terrible things to Mason. Mason leaves town earlier than expected and but returns shortly after.

While Jack and Mason make their way toward each other with a little help from Mason's new friends and his family, another man has taken a liking to Mason. Mason doesn't know the man who tries to pick him up from the dance floor, but he immediately knows he wants nothing to do with him. This stranger has other ideas, putting Mason, Jack and everyone Mason loves in danger.

I loved the lead characters in this story. They are both strongly defined and well developed. Part of the books charm however was the secondary characters, which I'm hoping will have their own books in the near future. While ten years seems an unrealistically long time to wait, I think the author presented her story so well that it made Jack and Mason's love seem all that much stronger. This is definitely an erotic romance so be ready to have it knock your socks off in that department.
