When Cari Duncan left home eight years ago she was disillusioned about her family and felt like an outcast. Shortly after her mother's death her father remarries and has an instant new family. One that Cari doesn't feel part of.

When he father dies he leaves her their family home. Over the years the house has fallen into decay. Cari has plans to honor her father and mother's memory by restoring the old Victorian building and opening a new business on the bottom floor.

Things aren't too easy for Cari while she's there. Someone doesn't want her to succeed and is warning her away. Cari is determined though and she has the help from some old and new friends to make sure she makes her dream come true.

I picked Hometown Princess for my love inspired for the month partly because of the emotional and dramatic story line, but also because I liked that fact that it is a story that everyone can enjoy. There aren't a lot of biblical references to the story, but there is strong belief that God helps us to find a way through prayer. Many time even those that are religious don't like books that preach to much through the story. This book satifies my needs by combining a good story with a belief in a greater power. This is the first book I've read Lenora Worth and I'll be sure to check some of her other books in the future.

Description:
All Cari Duncan has ever wanted is family. Yet her late father chose his new young wife's children over Cari. Surprised—and hopeful—when he bequeaths her the old house she grew up in, Cari moves to Knotwood Mountain, Georgia. But she and her stepmother clash the minute she arrives. How can Cari make a fresh start in the small town? The handsome businessman next door, who happens to be the most eligible bachelor, claims to know exactly how. But following Rick Adams's time-tested advice means opening her heart…to faith, family and her very own Prince Charming!
