Romance Book Review: Noelle Adams' One Night Series Book 1-3

Author: Noelle Adams
Series Connection: One Night
ISBN: N/A
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Erotic Romance, Novella Romance
Publisher: Author

One Night With Her Boss

Anne has been in love with her boss for years, but he's all business and doesn't seem to be the least attracted to her. When she finally decides it is time to move on and get a job using her college degree Anne gives her two week notice, which send her boss Jake reeling.

Good start to this series if not a little short. Jake is a sexy ex-surfer who seems to have left all his carefree surfing days behind. Anne and he seem like the perfect match. The readers can feel he wants so much to take the next step, but Anne has a way with him that I really liked.

Description:
Anne has worked for her sexy, ex-surfer, businessman boss for seven years, and she’s been in love with him for two. Jake doesn’t think about her as anything but his ever-efficient assistant, though. She’s been trying to get over her feelings by dating other men and interviewing for other jobs—which doesn’t make Jake very happy. But Anne is determined not to put her life on hold for him.

When she gets a new job offer, Jake will do anything he can to keep her, but he still only seems to want her as an employee. Anne might find him irresistible, but she’s learned to resist. There are lines that he’ll just never cross.

But then everything changes in only one night...

One Night With Her Roommate

To say that Meg's roommate East is a little flaky is an understatement as far as Meg is concerned. East doesn't have a job and he doesn't seem to take anything seriously. Even so serious Meg can't help caring for the guy.

When a kiss leads to more, will serious Meg take the next step with someone who seems completely so different from her?

While East comes off as the mysterious type it seems we don't really get to understand why by the end of the book. That was a little disappointing, still I liked Meg and East together. They seem to be what each needs.

Description:
Ever since her former roommates deserted her, Meg has had to share an apartment with a lazy, obnoxious ass. He won’t pick up after himself, and he refuses to get a good job. Plus, he doesn’t always wear enough clothes—which is really a problem, because he’s hot.

Maybe he’s occasionally funny. And every now and then he can be sweet. But mostly he’s just annoying. It doesn’t matter how much he’s starting to flirt with her—Meg is going to resist. She’s way too smart to fall for a guy who never takes anything seriously.

But then everything changes in only one night...

One Night With the Best Man

Talk about two people who couldn't be more different. Justin, Jake's (from book 1) baby brother, and Raney have nothing really in common. Justin is a little geeky, but Raney thought that she and he were getting along well until something happened between them that Raney just doesn't understand.

On the weekend of Jake and Anne's wedding Justin and Raney are forced together and she realizes how much Justin is beginning to mean to them, but misunderstandings and uncertainty keep the two apart.

I always like the story where the geeky guy gets the pretty girl. Justin is a good guy and Raney is the sweetest girl. So different the two work well together.

Description:
Raney wants to enjoy being a bridesmaid at her friend’s wedding, but the best man, Justin Woodward, keeps putting a damper on her mood. He’s brilliant and kind of geeky—not at all the kind of guy she’s used to—but she’s always been nice to him, so she can’t figure out why he acts so cool and obnoxious with her.

It shouldn’t matter what he feels about her, but she can’t stop thinking about him. So her mission for the weekend is to get Justin to like her. Her attempts don’t seem to work at all.

But then everything changes in only one night...

Rachel is having a real bad day. She just finds out that the grandmother she intended to reconnect with, but never found the time to, has passed away. If that isn't bad enough she is fired from her job, only to come home early to find her freeloading boyfriend having sex with another woman in her bed. Now she has some choices to make.

She decides getting away and visiting the home her grandmother left her is just what she needs to cheer herself up. When she gets there she finds a whole different world waiting for her and one real upset shifter whom her grandmother had locked away on the grounds of her estate.

This book is one very quick standalone in a in the Honeycomb Falls, maybe just a little too quick. I loved Rachel and her journey to finding her inner strength I just wish it would have taken a little longer to get there and we got a chance to spend a little more time with Blake. Otherwise this is just a very erotic romance with a little bit of storyline. The author could have cut one of the sex scenes and added a little more time to get to know the characters a little more.

Otherwise the storyline is pretty good and the characters have a lot of potential.

Description:
A BBW in search of love + A sexy shifter only she can free = Smokin' Roaring Romance

When Rachel inherits her grandmother's home in the idyllic village of Honeycomb Falls, she decides to turn it into a gorgeous bed & breakfast. Yet will her plans survive her encounter with the sinfully hot werewolf masquerading as the gardener, or the darker heritage that her grandmother has left her, whom rumor has was a powerful witch?

Reader Note: This book contains searing sex (ice cream time-outs are recommended), adult language (he knows what he likes and he's not shy about demanding), and violence. If this is not the kind of stuff you like to read, skip this book. However, if you like dirty, raunchy sex with a sinfully hot wolf on one funny curvy girl, then this is right up your alley. Enjoy!

Series Review: This is a great series for those who love short fantasy romance. It has all the fun paranormal species including handsome alpha males and strong females of all shapes and sizes. Each female lead has her strengths. The themes are way out their but the characters are likable and there is a fair amount a humor placed within the short suspense spurts. The author is definitely getting better as she goes along. I hope she continues on with the series.
