If you like paranormal, sci-fi and a good witch and demom stories check out author Sherrill Quinn. She has a great style and quite a few print and e-books to choose from that offer a wide variety within these genres. I particularly like the short story she included in the Belong to the Night Anthology called City of the Dead.
About Sherrill From Her Website:
I started writing fiction at the age of 12 when my sixth-grade teacher gave the class the opening line "It was a dark and stormy night" and told us to write a story. I'm pretty sure my story had ghosts and goblins in it, because even at that age I was fascinated with the paranormal world. I got sidetracked with college and a career in Human Resources, but in 2005 I rediscovered my love of fiction writing. My first ebook was published in February 2006, and in February 2009 I signed on with Kensington Publishing with my first novel, Daring the Moon.

Angel and the Duke of Sex
Angelique Chadbourne had been trapped for 10 years in a loveless marriage while her wastrel husband chased after prostitutes in the East End of London. Now, in 1888--two years after his murder--she has ended her period of mourning and is ready to live life on her own terms. And a big part of that is learning what passion is all about. For that, she needs Harry Atherton, the Duke of Sexton or, as he is notoriously known in upper society, the Duke of Sex.
Harry has always had his eye on Angel, thinking her to be the perfect woman to be his wife. She's beautiful, gracious and intelligent--just the sort who would fit in his household and provide him with an impeccable hostess. To find out she also has hidden passions she wishes to pursue is the sugar in his tea. He's never been one to let an opportunity pass him by, and he's not about to start now. But there's evil threatening her. Jack the Ripper is in their midst and it's only a matter of time before he strikes again.
Mix a zealous animal rights activist with two horny space cowboys and you get more trouble than you can handle...
Jax Marjani was imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit, all because the corrupt government of his homeworld wanted his sister's lover, the exiled prince of the planet Nosfer. But when feisty Hannah Trueblood helps steal his cattle, Jax finds he's as much of a barbarian as the natives on this backwoods world--and stakes his claim on her.
Submission never felt this good...
Daring The Moon
It takes a lot to ruffle Taite Gibson, investigator with the Pima County Attorney's Office. But the enormous, snarling werewolf that's stalking her through the streets of Tucson? Yeah, that oughta do it. Those terrifying attacks convince Taite to seek out Ryder Merrick, a reclusive British horror writer reputed to know everything about werewolves, including how to kill them. Turns out he also knows how to leave her shaking with desire...
On his remote private island, Ryder can live safely with the beast inside him, unable to harm others or himself. Then Taite arrives, her lush, sweet scent and gorgeous curves tempting him to give in to every wicked hunger. And as a full moon rises, the only way to keep Taite safe from the evil that's followed her here is to convince her to trust in an attraction that's deeply dangerous, and wilder than she ever guessed....
Seducing The Moon
It only takes a little moonlight to bring out the primal desire between two lovers...
Declan O’Connell has a history with Pelicia Cobb, but not the kind that’s going to help him win her back. It was bad enough that he broke her heart as a gruff ex-commando. Now he’s got another side to his personality, a furry, fierce side that goes a little wild under the light of the moon…
Pel wants nothing more than the chance to clean up the mess Declan made of her life—without his interference. But with a sniper taking shots at her on her doorstep, there’s no one better to protect her than Declan. And it’s hard to ignore all of his deliciousness, especially the way her body responds to his undeniable magnetism. There’s no question the rugged Irishman brings out the animal instinct in her—an instinct that propels her toward him, even when she knows she should run away…
Animal attraction is only half of the problem...
Taming The Moon
Olivia Felan has a wild side, all right. Even ignoring the fact that she turns furry and feral once a month, her natural style is take-no-prisoners, full-speed-ahead, come-what-may. But when it comes to her little girl, she doesn't take chances. So when a big bad werewolf alpha steals her daughter, Olivia will do whatever it takes to get her baby back. And in this case, that means killing Rory Sullivan.
The trouble is, killing him would mean wasting one sexy beast. Sully is all man, all cop, and as of late, half wolf. When he meets Olivia, Sully’s a little glad he stuck his nose into his friends’ business and came out with animal senses--until he gets a whiff of the chaos following her around. Now he has to decide whether he can’t take his eyes off Olivia because she’s too beautiful--or because she’s too dangerous…
As an Intergalactic Marshal, Kassinda Marjani is all about the job. When her brother is imprisoned on trumped-up charges and she's virtually blackmailed into capturing Rhys Valorian... well, she'd bring in the exiled vampire prince--her former lover--to save her brother's life.
But things don't always go according to plan, and when she and Rhys crash land on a barbaric planet where men cherish their women and see to their pleasure whenever--and wherever--necessary, Kass realizes she might have to move onto Plan B. If only she had a Plan B.
Good thing she has Rhys.

Series Connection: Wulf's Den
Genre: Paranormal/ Shifter/ Werewolf
Publisher: Liquid Silver Books
Not my favorite in the Wulf Den series book five in the series tells the story of Billie and Finn's brother Eli. Eli is the last of the York children to find a woman. His sister Billie is determined to find someone for him. While he is sitting in Wulf's Den on evening he meets Saskia.
Saskia is a warrior who has trained for hundreds of years to be part of the protection team for the chosen one, Roxie. She and her brothers-in-arms come to the Wulf's Den to lend their support. There she sees Eli and knows for the first time she wants to make love to a human. But as far as she is concerned a human could never be her mate.
This is a short story that was just a little too rushed for me. It would have been nice to go into more detail on the background of the team of protectors.
Eli vowed he would never tie himself to one woman. But when he sees a lone werewolf female at Wulf's Den with six large male werewolves at her back, he finds himself instantly attracted to her.
Saskia and her brothers in arms have come to Wulf's Den in search of the foretold one, the one they have trained most of their long lives to protect. What she didn't expect was to have one of her visions while there. Or to see that she and the male mortal who looks at her with hunger in his eyes would eventually end up in bed together.
As Eli and Saskia try to sort through the feelings of an unexpected mating, a new enemy rises to threaten Roxie in her position as the foretold one. An enemy that could end their mating prematurely.

Cassie was recently kidnapped by rogue dragons who did unspeakable things to her, so the last thing she would want to attach herself to a dragon shifter. That is until she meets Haydn, but does she really want to start a relationship or just a one night stand.
Haydn can't believe he has finally found his souler. The only problem is that the human he finds isn't fond of dragon shifters. He knows he must go slow and has to convince Cassie to be his.
This book is part of a series and it isn't necessary to read the rest of the series to read this book. Although that is the case, I think it would be better to hear more of the story about the dragons and their lives.
After years of playing the field, Haydn has finally found his soul mate. Problem is, the well-endowed Cassie thinks all dragons are trouble and she has no intention of letting Hayden anywhere near her. He's going to have to do some fast talking to convince her he's the dragon of her dreams.

It isn't often that you find romances that take place in this era.
It is 1941 and the second World War is raging. Captain Adrian Carruthers abducts lovely Helen James in the belief she is a German spy. But Helen is no traitor. She wants to fight the enemy by using all the charms of her body.
Helen believes she has found her ideal first assignment in the handsome captain. Can she seduce him into telling her all he knows? The last thing she needs is a man who has already learnt a bitter lesson about women who trade their bodies for his country's secrets.
From the back of her book:
Victoria Black lives in Australia. She is especially interested in the Second World War. She loves—admittedly from the safe distance of time—the inherent romance and danger of those days, when heroes and heroines pitted their wits and their bodies against a merciless and determined foe. When she’s not writing, Victoria can be found in the kitchen, cooking. She loves fine food and wine, along with the occasional margarita.

Samara has just lost her beloved uncle when Nathaniel walks into the door and shatters her world. Everything she believed about herself is now changed. Rather than just being cursed with being able to read people's emotions she finds out that there is much more to her "gift" than she ever knew. Now she is running from demons and falling in love with a stranger.
Nathaniel has been Samara's guardian forever and has fallen in love with her, something that should never happen between a guardian and his charge. Nathaniel realizes Samara knows nothing about her destiny and has little time to teach her what she needs to know to survive. There isn't any time for love making, but he can't seem to keep his hands off of her. And if archangel Uriel finds out he might just lose any chance he has at redemption.
This is a fast moving novella that accomplishes a lot. Despite it being a short erotic novel the author was able to pack a lot into the story, which I appreciated. Kudos to the author. Nicely done.
Samara Hale has learned to keep everyone at arm’s length, with good reason. Abandoned by a father she’s never known, she’ll do anything to not become her mother and waste her love on a man who will only end up leaving. A powerful empath, she’s grown comfortable hiding behind her self-imposed walls. On the heels of her uncle’s death, a stranger shows up claiming to be a Telal, a half-demon, half-angel. She’s sure he’s out of his mind—unbelievably hot, but still, out of his mind. When she’s attacked by demons, he’s the only one who can save her. Samara will have to trust him with her life. She’s just not sure she can trust him with her heart.
With a forbidden love, an ancient prophecy, and demons on the hunt, Nathaniel knows this would be the worst time to act on his feelings for his mortal charge. But with Samara’s life in danger, he must not only come face-to-face with temptation, but with an old rival whose ambitions include claiming Samara for Lucifer himself. Nathaniel will risk it all to save the woman he loves and he can only hope Samara will take a risk of her own.

In the last installment of the Wilder Series, Sandy Sullivan tells Jamie Wilder's story. Nine years ago Jamie was in love with Wyatt, but at 17 and him at 20 she knew that he needed to finish school before they could be together. Unfortunately, she knew that when she became pregnant there was no way he was going to leave her and the child alone. So she pushes him at the door and sends him away.
Wyatt stayed away for nine years. He always knew he would be back for Jamie and his child, he just had to convince her to take him back. When he first sees her it takes a little more convincing than he thought and of course there was her brothers. Those wild Wilder brothers weren't going to let Wyatt hurt their sister again.
This was a decent contemporary romance, but have to say I was a little annoyed in the beginning of the book when Wyatt was mad at Jamie for sending him away. He was the older of the two, he could of put his foot down and stayed. Later in the story though, I felt better when he admitted he took the coward's way out by leaving.
Jamie walked away from her love for Wyatt for
the sake of his career as a physician even
though she carried his child. When she runs into
him at the local emergency room, she can’t
believe her eyes, but her heart knows she never
stopped loving him. Can she let him back into
her life for the sake of their daughter?
Wyatt knew he would return to Laramie when he
finally finished school. He never stopped loving
Jamie, but she pushed him away and insisted
she didn’t love him. He wasn’t sure he could
forgive her for shutting him out of their daughter’
s life. When they come face-to-face again, he
can’t walk away, not from Jamie nor from his
Will they be able to get past the
disappointments and tears to rekindle their love
or will old hurts kill the feelings that still linger

Some people have movie marathons at home, I have "author" marathons. The past few days I've been reading Marie Harte books. Marie write many different styles within the romance genre. The most common style within all the books is most definitely erotic romance.
Recently she released a spin off series, Dawn Endeavor, from a Sci-Fi series she wrote last Spring called Circe's Recruits. On her website she classifies her books as sci-fi, futuristic, paranormal, fantasy and contemporary. She's got everything going on in her books including male/female sex, male, female, male sex, male/male and female/female. Her characters include man made creations, werewolves, vampires, aliens and just ordinary humans. He male characters are strong alphas with a touch of dominance in them, while the females are strong and definitley on the sassy side.
From what I've seen, Marie started publishing books in 2005 and has been steadily releasing print and e-books ever since. I got lucky to pick up several of her print books at a local used book store about a year ago and have been hooked ever since.
Here's the blurb on her from her website:
I've been writing as far back as I can remember. Interest in the written word, no doubt spawned by my English teacher father, continues to this day. I'm a voracious reader, gobbling everything from romance to horror to science fiction and more. And I'm in love with the art of putting pen to paper...so to speak.
I majored in English from Penn State University, earning a B.A. in Liberal Arts, as well as a commission in the Unites States Marine Corps. Five years later, after serving as a communications officer, I left the service to focus more on family.
An assortment of jobs, from the Marine Corps Reserve to a government-contracted agency as an IT Representative to a middle manager for a Fortune 500 transportation company, have filled my days until I decided to devote myself full-time to my family.
Now the mother of four, I spend my time watching after my children and searching for that spare hour to write. Needless to say, I spend many of my nights typing away long into the a.m.
Above are some of the covers from her books. I've got several reviews from books she's written in my blog achieve files and if you check out her page on my website at you'll see some others.
