This is a very quick Howls series romance that I read in one foggy Saturday afternoon. Still there was a lot packed into a short novel. Celia Kyle has become one of my favorite authors. Her heroines are always a little sassy and the hero are tough and sexy. I couple of times we saw Jane’s own alpha come out and play, but I would have liked to have seen a her enact a little female alpha justice toward the end, but all and all it was a good quick read.

I've only had the opportunity to read this one book in the series, and even though I'm coming in at book 4, I really like it so far. Both Warrick Hope are good strong characters. I love their love story. The author has written an interesting background story featuring wolves, dragons and vampires. Even though I've started at book 4, it probably would be better to start at book one.

As Jessy searches the country for her sister and possible niece, Sheriff Colt Hennessy finds a surprise bundle on the front steps of his office with a note asking him to take care of the little girl. Not wanting to leave the care of the child to social services, Colt arranges to take the child in. He suspects the child is like him and he knows he can better protect the child if he has her. 

It takes some time for Jessy to finally find at least her sister's child, but how is she going to explain to the man who has the child that only her instinct tells her that the little girl who Colt has been raising all this time might be part of Jessy's family. 

Very sweet story of a kind hearted cop and his love for a child. So sweet that the circumstances to how the hero get the child in the first place seems a little out of place for the rest of the book. Otherwise a good short story and quick read.

The lion wants nothing more than to mate Knox. Good thing Knox is in a relationship with another human. 

Knox has been lusting after Scarlett since she came to work for him, but she’s the sister of his best friend and way out of his league. That’s what he thinks up until he sees her in a comprising position in his office. Once he breaks it off with his current girlfriend nothing will keep him away from Scarlett. 

This is a quick running story with a lot of things happening. Almost too much for such a short story. As usual with Milly Taiden stories there are some pretty erotic scenes, which isn’t so bad, but again a lot of different encounters within a such a short story is just too much. Otherwise the story line was fairly good.

But Gavin knows a frame up when he sees one and his job may be a lot harder then he thought. 

Several twists and turns in this paranormal legal drama romance. The very formal Gavin character is such a contrast from Megan character. I don't want to give up the story, but the ending twist in Megan's character could have gone a little smoother, it was just there all of a sudden. It actually made me not like Megan very much.

As alpha of the local bear clan it is up to Carl to keep watch of all the shifters around him, he's known for a while now that both he and his bear want Becca, but because she's human and doesn't know about shifters, he's stayed away. Now that he's spending so much more time with Becca the attraction is that much stronger. 

Carl and Becca as a couple are a good match. He's the strong alpha bear and while not a bear, Becca is the perfect momma bear. She is sweet and kind, while he is protective. Becca is exactly what Carl was looking for in a woman and more. 

While the storyline is very similar to others, I liked that the author took time to more of a back story of the clan, as well as continues to build the suspense while the bears search for the missing teen. 

This is the first book in a three part series and a good story to learn to learn about all the characters involved.

Good sports themed story with a shifter football theme. On the plus side there is a good amount of suspense going through the story with the rivalry between Jae and Nico each fighting to keep Cass. But there are a few problems in the story that stand out. Nevertheless those who like dragon stories will find this book entertaining.

Started reading this old series that began in 2014, to get the background scoop on Marie Johnston's new series "Pale Moonlight" which have the first book coming out at the end of the month. The first book is called "Birthright". 

In the first of the Sigma Menace series book, Fever Claim, readers are introduced to Jace. Jace is the brother of Maggie, the heroine in "Birthright". 

Jace is a bartender at "Pale Moonlight" a shifter club. For month's his been lusting after Cassie. He knows Cassie is his mate, but she is human and about to marry another human. When Cassie is dumped a couple of weeks before her wedding Jace knows he has a chance to finally make his more. Cassie doesn't know anything about shifters, so he knows he has to take this slow. 

Time isn't on his side though, after one wild night with Jace, Cassie gets a call from her best friend Kaitlyn and and learns very quickly what shifters are. Jace helps her and her friend out of trouble, but Cassie isn't sure how to take on what is going on in the world. 

Jace and Cassie have more problems than just figuring out their mating. Someone evil is after Cassie and Jace and it will take everything that Jace has to protect his mate and all the understanding Cassie can muster to understand this new world she's been sucked into. 

So far I am liking this series and am interested in reading this full series and moving to the new series that begins with Jace's sister.

Vic lives in a shifter town with a lot of shifter friends who all find it hard to get mates. He comes up with an idea, a shifter matchmaking site. 

The idea begins to take off when his friend Adrian, a lion shifter, meets his mate Sherry. 

In Lion's Love, Sherry over hears some of her co-workers talking about a new website where women can meet shifter online and see if they are compatible mates. Sherry isn't so sure she wants to apply to the website, but some mean girls at work sign her up.

Once she gets to meet Adrain, Sherry just can't believe her luck. And Adrian isn't too unhappy with the match either. 

And so the story goes. Throughout each book, friends of Sherry's gets to meet their match. In the background, bad things are happening around town. Someone is starting fires and sending a message to the local sheriff while they're at it. That mystery is explored in the background story of each book. 

Although it isn't necessary to read all of the books in the story and they can be purchased separately, it is nice to have the whole series in one set. It gives a chance to read a each love match takes place. 

While the stores are really short and usually feature one or two really erotic love scenes between each of the characters, the underlying story is interesting and makes the novellas stronger. I particularly like the last two stories, Tiger's Tease and Bull's Beauty. 

Tiger's Tease features a mix match pair if there ever was one. This story I wish would have been a little longer so their story had a chance to develop. This is the story between the Sheriff Dirk Matthews and Ava Adams. Ave is a former drug addict, who spent a little time in jail. She also sports a lot a tattoos, piercings and purple hair. Not exactly a match made in heaven for the small town sheriff. This relationship could have been a fun to explore some more. 

The final story in the set Bull's Beauty finishes off the mystery of who is setting the fires and who killed Vic and Max's mother, which we learn about in the first story.

Kozav is a Primary Warrior on the Preor ship. He and a group of his men are injured and sent to a hospital on earth, but none of the doctors want to work on them and leave them for dead. 

When nurse Grace Hall arrives at work, she sees the Preors and immediately gets to work trying to repair the damage. Unaware that she is being fed information from the Preor's mating experience, she is able to help all the aliens until their own healers arrive. 

When Kozav wakes from his injuries back on the ship he realizes something is different and the "knowing" kicks in. He knows that sometime while he was unconsious he met his mate, now all he has to do is find her. 

When he finally does, he finds that helping his men has cause her health issues and takes her back to his ship where his healers can help her. But when she wakes all Grace can think about is the fact that she has obligations back at home. 

It doesn't help that not everyone on the Preor ship is happy that yet another human mate has been found. It seems Kozav and Grace have a lot to work out before that can have their HEA. 

This story had all the elements of one of Celia Kyle's entertaining stories, but something is holding me back from giving it a "5 Heart" review. I liked Grace and the fact that she has so much going on in her young life and just plows forward to make the best of everything. She has two jobs and takes care of her mother at all costs. 

She is a very independent woman and that certainly makes her very different from the kind of woman, Kozav sees himself with. I don't really think the story had a chance to touch on that very important issue. Compromise is talked about, but with the current situation on the ship, I can't really see this as a place where Grace would thrive, which makes me think she would be very unhappy in that situation. Making this couple not so compatible. 

That said, it is a good read and an interesting addition to the series, where the author goes into more detail about earth before the aliens came.

Finally Ellie and Caleb's story.

Driving out when a snow storm is about to hit probably was her first problem, having car trouble and breaking down on the background is the second and it can't get much worse when she feels herself being followed when she goes to search out help and suddenly hears a loud growl.

Lion shifter Luke finds Kira on his property passed out. It isn't long before he realizes that this human is his mate, he just has to convince her, which won't be easy because, besides the fact that she's the most stubborn woman, Luke has met, but there are some strange happenings around his home.

This was a fun read, but was over too quick. This is just a series of short novellas. If you like sexy shifter books, then you'll like this one.

El had her own bad experience with men, especially men like Stefan. Rich men, from powerful families. She isn't about to tell Stefan her past and although she is intrigued by his attention and completely turned on, she knows she can't get involved with him.

But Stefan can't let go. He needs his mate and will do whatever he can to get her.

In the meantime, someone is after the Le Beau family and wants to see them hurt however they can.

Where do I start. While I like the series and the story behind it, this book really had some problems for me. Yes we know that El had some problems in her past and needed to work through them, but her treatment toward Stefan really left me hating her. Even with the HEA I'm never going to like her character. Stefan was a little wimpy, I still liked him and respected his patience with her.

More than all that, however was the writing to me wasn't as good as I had read from these authors in the first two books. I was excited when I found this book was out, even though it had been out for over a year. I am a little disappointed, but still have hope for the series and will move on to read Thomas' story.

Romance Book Review: Celia Kyle's You're Kitten Me

It doesn't take long before the DoPE finds her and puts not only Ronnie in danger, but also her mate.

Braden doesn't know how he would ever be able to take Ronnie as his mate. After all he's an 800 pound tiger and she's just a little wolf. He's not sure how they would ever get through the tugging tail tradition to be fully bound. But as the threat of the DoPE continues over their heads, Ronnie and Braden can't stay away and will do anything to be together, even not fully mate.

Once again Celia Kyle pulls her story together with laughter, great romance and sharp tongues. I already liked Ronnie in the first book of the series "Fast and the Furriest". She came to the rescue when her best friend sounded in distress over the phone. Braden is the strong Beta, but all alpha, who doesn't want to lead and would rather be all the muscle when needed. 

This story is fast based and quick on whit and charm. It can be read alone, but you'll want to check out the first in the series to learn the story of the tigers and why it is so important to "pull their tails".
