Chloe is worried about the implications of a birthmark on her wrist, so she decides to go to a tattoo parlor to have it covered. For some unknown reason she is compelled to visit a tattoo parlor in an area she knows she should stay away from. In fact the werewolf taxi driver is even telling her she should turn around, but determined Chloe goes inside anyway. That step inside the business changes her life forever.

When Chloe steps into the Wolf's Den she is brought face to face with her mate Jackson. Jackson knows he has to get Chloe away from tattoo parlor as soon as possible. He needs to convince her it is best to get away as soon as possible. Taking her back to his place he knows he has to tell her what exactly the birthmark means and that she is a halfling. 

Chloe realizes there is something different about her, but it isn't going to be easy taking Jackson as a mate, especially with another interested in mating with him and a father she has never met and an over protective grandfather. 

Good series start to this series featuring a strong male and female lead characters. I liked that Chloe wasn't a wall flower and didn't back down without questions or fights. I also liked the way she set the scene and explained the world she was creating.
