A lot has happened and Tyne's and Lucas' lives since they have last seen each other. Lucas has become a well known up and coming lawyer and Tyne now owns her own business and is raising a teenage son. When the boy gets himself in trouble she turns to Lucas for help. Lucas doesn't know his son and after meeting him for an hour goes before a judge and tries to plead the teen's case. He comes up with an idea to help both his son and give him a little time to get to know the boy. 

The hard judge is willing to give a try to Lucas' idea and places the boy in the custody of his father. Not meaning to take the boy away from Tyne, Lucas invites her to come back to their hometown and help the boy before his behavior turns worse. 

The problems arise when Tyne does not turn out to be the woman that Lucas has painted her to be and he has secrets of his own that he is sure that Tyne will not like. Can the three repair the damage that has been done and help the boy change his life. 

This is a sweet story of remembered young love, teen pregnancy and how lives don't always turned out the way it is planned. While the theme is common, the story is well written with enough changes to keep the story fresh until the end.
