Spanish romance novelist published 4,000 novels
Spanish romance novelist Corin Tellado, died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the age of 81. In her lifetime Corin published 4,000 novels. According to Corin's website some of her novels were turned into radio serials, movies and television soap operas shows. She was famous for writing with a modern flair without being erotic. She wrote her first novel in 1946 and sold her most popular novel in 1991. It was called Luna Oculta.
According to the Madrid press, Corin died three days after she completed her last manuscript.
"As for my style, it was censorship that dictated it. Some novels came back with so much underlined text that all you could see was black. They taught me to insinuate, to suggest more than to show," she is quoted as saying on her website.
