YYYYY

After reading Myth of Moonlight and writing a review about it I contacted by a reader who said if I liked the first book that I was sure to like the second in the series. She was hoping that generating interest in the 2007 series, which was released in one print book in 2008 (see below), would convince the two authors who wrote the books to get together again and write the continuation of the series. Not sure that will work here, but I would like to throw in my two cents worth.

After just completing the second book I have to say that I did like it as much as the first. Shadow of Moonlight continues where Myth of Moonlight ended taking the readers about four months ahead telling Remy and Jace's story. I knew after reading the first book that these two would make a great pair and the second book didn't disappoint.

Remy is a strong female warrior who is second in her pack. She works hard to keep her alpha and the pack protected. Jace is the pack's seer. He keeps the pack guarded in his own way. Through his dreams he can tell pieces of the packs future. Unfortunately he can't see all. Everything needs to be decoded and Jace doesn't always have the all important decoder ring. A truth that Remy can't help but keep needling Jace about.

There has always been an attraction between the two that they have never acted on. Jace knows immediately that Remy is his mate. Convincing her might be a little hard however.

Meanwhile there is a lot going on with the pack. The pack numbers are dwindling and the alpha believes that one answer to the she-wolves not being able to get pregnant is to try to make a pact with the coyotes weres. This decision hasn't been too popular on either side. If that isn't enough trouble, Jace starts dreaming of a human female who is pregnant with a were child. From his dream he figures that the pack must find her and protect her. He's just not sure what the rest of his dream of the future means.

Of course at the end it is open for the series to continue. It would be great to see if this could be in the mix in the future. Both Lena Matthews and Liz Andrews seem to be moving forward with their respective careers, so who knows what will happen.

Description:
Remington is a solider first and a woman second. She's fought hard to earn her place as Venator for her pack. The safety of her Benandanti comes first, even before her own wants and desires. There isn't a Were alive who can make her feel any differently. Then again, Jace McClellen isn't an ordinary Werewolf.

Thanks to the roll of the genetic dice, Jace possesses all the strength of a Werewolf but not the ability to change. Instead he's been given the annoying talent to dream a fortune-cookie future. A future filled with more questions than answers and a dream sidekick who aggravates more than he helps. The one thing he doesn't need his visions to tell him is he and Remington are meant to be together. Now the only thing he has to do is convince Remington.

Reader Advisory: While this novel is a stand-alone, for better reader enjoyment we recommend reading Myth of Moonlight first.

Description:
Myth of Moonlight By Liz Andrews , Lena Matthews Kimberly Brenin has been plagued by nightmares. Dreams of being chased by someone or something the petrifying face of a Werewolf. Most would chalk up the image to that of a scary story, but Kimberly knows the truth. Werewolves are real. She knows because she is one.

Being orphaned at an early age has left Kimberly woefully nieve when it comes to Were rules. As Benandanti of his pack, Nico is furious that Kimberly would dare come to his land. Every Were knows it is against Lycan Law for any Werewolf to come into another's territory without first gaining permission or making an offering, and Kimberly had done neither. The feisty beauty is a handful and much to Nico's amazement completely unknowledgeable about the world they live in. Even more astonishing, Kimberly has no idea that she is coming into her heat...
