I found this book a few months back, but there were so many shifter books I was reviewing at the time I decided to wait and read it. I liked the general premise of this shapeshifter book.

Jon is a cat shapeshifter who leaves home because he is told he will find his mate in America. When Serenity comes into his office, he knows she is the one. He isn't quite ready to let her know what he is until he spends time with her.

Serenity has a secret of her own and a crazy family. Her mother especially has a lot of issues. She doesn't feel she can get involved with a human because he would never be able to handle her family. She can't seem to stay away from him though.

The two of them are interested in nothing but uncomplicated lives with each other. Can they have that or are they destined to be apart?
