Romance Book Review: Bella Andre's The Look of Love

Author: Bella Andre
Series Connection: The Sullivan Series
ISBN: 978-1463603779
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publisher:  Harlequin MIRA

Bella Andre is introducing her Sullivan books into print beginning with The Look of Love. The story begins with introducing the Sullivan clan, featuring a matriarch mother and her eight children. First to receive his own book is successful photographer Chase. Chase has no problem with saying he is a ladies man and has his share of one night stands, but when he rescues Chloe from the side of the road on a rainy night, he knows his days of one night stands are over.

Chloe has had a terrible day and her car going off the side of the road on a deserted road in a rain storm isn't making it any better. When a man stops to help her she isn't sure if she should trust him enough to accept his help. When he offers to let her stay in his brother's guest house she knows that has to be a big mistake, but there is just something about Chase and the fact that the rain is turning into a hail storm that has her getting into Chase's car.

Before she knows it, she's getting to know the handsome man, and although she keeps reminding herself she doesn't want to get involved it just happens.

I've read this series before and loved it, however the print format has been filled out and expanded. The next story comes out at the end of June with Marcus' story From this Moment On.

Description:
Original book cover.
The Look Of Love introduces you to a fun and emotional contemporary romance series about the Sullivan family. Because when a Sullivan bad boy falls…he falls hard. And it’s forever.
Chloe Peterson is having a bad night. A really bad night. The large bruise on her cheek can attest to that. And when her car skids off the side of a wet country road straight into a ditch, she’s convinced even the gorgeous guy who rescues her in the middle of the rain storm must be too good to be true. Or is he?

As a successful photographer who frequently travels around the world, Chase Sullivan has his pick of beautiful women, and whenever he’s home in San Francisco, one of his seven siblings is usually up for causing a little fun trouble. Chase thinks his life is great just as it is—until the night he finds Chloe and her totaled car on the side of the road in Napa Valley. Not only has Chase never met anyone so lovely, both inside and out, but he quickly realizes Chloe has much bigger problems than her damaged car. Soon, Chase is willing to move mountains to love—and protect—her, but will Chloe let him?

Chloe vows never to make the mistake of trusting a man again. Only, with every loving look Chase gives her—and every sinfully sweet caress—as the attraction between them sparks and sizzles, she can’t help but wonder if she’s met the only exception. And although Chase didn’t realize his life was going to change forever in an instant, amazingly, he isn’t the least bit interested in fighting that change. Instead, he’s gearing up for a different fight altogether…for Chloe’s heart.

The long awaited print edition is out now from Harlequin MIRA with expanded editorial. More story, more Sullivans!
