In the fourth installment of the Timber Valley Pack, always do right Dash has finally found a crime that lynx shifter Isadora can't talk her way out of. He doesn't know all the facts and he can't quite believe that she would do something so bad, but Isadora seems to be consorting with humans who have been kidnapping and experimenting on shifters. As he and the shifters go after her, he finds out there is a lot he doesn't know about the lynx he's had his eye on for sometime.
Isadora is off on a mission dodging the shifters and the humans, but she knows her mission most important to the survival of the shifters. When Dash catches up to her, Isadora wishes she could trust him, but she knows that the do-gooder in Dash will require him to turn her in and she can't let that happen with such a threat to other shifters.
This story was the best so far for this series. I'd been waiting to see how these two opposites would finally attract and the story didn't disappoint. Isadora's feisty character continues to shine through the pages in this installment in the series adding more shades of grey to her character. I even liked how Dash lightens up a bit has he realizes that everything isn't always black and white.

When Roxanne's car goes off the side of the road in a freak snow storm, Steele Battle comes to her rescue, but with a nice goose egg on the top of her head Roxanne is convinced that her handsome savior can't be real. After all he's able to lift her car, tear off the door and pick her big body up and carry her to the road where his car is waiting.
While the blizzard rages on, Steele takes her to a friend's cabin to wait out the storm and give the young virgin a night she will remember for the rest of her life. After all it is Roxanne's dream and anything can happen.
Steele knows that he can't keep Roxanne. After all she's a human and there are strict regulation against having shifters having relationships with humans. He just can't resist Roxanne's charms and he knows that this is his only chance with her before he has to have the pack sharman make Roxanne forget she ever met him.
After the weekend of her accident strange things begin to happen to Roxanne even though a year and half has passed Roxanne goes to find Steele Battle to get his help. The only problem is when she gets to Steele, she can't remember how she got there and what she needed his help with.
Booth Steele and Roxanne are pretty classic characters, but what makes this story interesting is the secondary background story and the continuation of the series. As the storyline heats up the reason for the rules as to why shifters and humans should stay apart becomes more than clear.
