Undeniably Yours is the second book about the Kowalski clan. This novel features Kevin Kowalski and Beth Hanson. Kevin is a former police officer turned bar and grill owner. Since his divorce two years ago, Kevin has been with a lot of women, but he isn't looking for one night stands anymore.

In walks Beth. Not the usual bar bunny. Their first meeting is in the bar and it doesn't go very well. Their second is at Kevin's brother's wedding and although they get together and fall into bed together, this second meeting doesn't go very well either.

Beth has wanderlust and spends her time going from place to place. When the mood suits her she moves on. When the little window turns blue, Beth knows that her traveling days are over. She goes to Kevin and tells her that she's pregnant and then runs into a wall of Kowalskis.

The story takes place around the holidays, but doesn't necessarily have to be read only then. I wanted to give this book a five heart review, but after thinking about it overnight I just couldn't. I loved Kevin and his character. He was Mr. Perfect and by the middle of the book I was hoping he would turn around and walk away from Beth because she so deserved it. Her character just drove me crazy. I understood exactly what the author was trying to say in the story line, but I wished she would have gone about it differently.

I liked the angle that Kevin seemed to be so much the player. Women were constantly giving him the okay to take them to bed and he didn't once jump at the chance. For Beth I think I wasn't sympathetic to her enough because her reasons for why she was who she was, wasn't made clear enough and it just became too much after a while. So while I give this author high marks for a well written book, I was a little disappointed in the female lead. Still so far this series seems worth reading. The supporting characters were wonderfully written and the side story of Paulie and Sam was good.

Description:
One-night stand + two percent condom failure rate = happily ever after?

Bar owner Kevin Kowalski is used to women throwing their phone numbers at him, but lately he’s more interested in finding a woman to settle down with. A woman like Beth Hansen. If only their first meeting hadn’t gone so badly…

Beth’s tending bar at a wedding when she comes face to face with a tuxedo-clad man she never thought she’d see again. She tries to keep her distance from Kevin but, by last call, she can’t say no to his too-blue eyes or the invitation back to his room. Then she slips out before breakfast without leaving a note and, despite their precautions, pregnant.

Kevin quickly warms to the idea of being a dad and to seeing where things go with Beth. After all, he’s not the player she thinks he is. But she’s not ready for a relationship and, given his reputation, it’s going to take a lot to convince her to go on a second date with the father of her child…
